To further his expertise, Dr. Okoro completed a prestigious three-year fellowship in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. There, he trained under world-renowned surgeons in the latest cosmetic and non-surgical techniques, which he has since mastered.

After his plastic surgery training, Dr. Okoro returned to active duty in the U.S. Navy, attaining the rank of Commander and serving as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland—the hospital often referred to as “The President’s Hospital.” He played a pivotal role in reconstructing injuries for Marine and Navy service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, specializing in complex reconstructive surgeries, microvascular breast reconstruction, and aesthetic procedures.
